I invited my friend James to watch a
musical play with me last Nov 24 at Meralco Theater, and was surprised that when
we got to Meralco’s Compound it was already Christmas!!! Aside from the Musical Theatre event, the
private compound of Meralco Building along Meralco Avenue Ortigas City was
opened to public.
Enchanting bright Christmas lights
welcomed us as we arrived at the venue. We were shocked as we were amazed and
excited to see how beautiful they have set up their compound turning it into
almost a theme park. They have gigantic Nativity displays, Food and Shopping
bazars, free cart rides that takes you around the compound and a free locomotive
train ride not only for kids but adults of all ages can try riding them out
too.
Since we came to the venue early to
validate our tickets and find our seating, we had dinner on the food bazar. The
food bazar has tons of Pinoy-style Barbeque. We ordered liempo, Barbeque and
tons of street food and had a really great big meal. We also had a great time
taking pictures of ourselves with the Christmas lights. Except for t he Christmas
shopping goods and food, everything is free, there’s even no entrance fee in to
the Meralco compound. So if ever you are around the Ortigas area or going to
Metrowalk, feel free to drop by Meralco Compound Building and take pictures
with their colourful and exciting Christmas lights.
